There is nothing more luxurious than having a Parrot Cay private wedding. COMO Parrot Cay is an award-winning luxury resort set on its own private island in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Parrot Cay is second-home to many stars and celebrities who visit the island when in need of a private, secluded getaway. At only a half an hour boat ride away from Providenciales, it’s easily reached.
Besides the location, there was one other reason my couple decided to get married in Parrot Cay: Parrot Cay is one of the only resorts in the Turks and Caicos that allows guests to bring their dog. And what’s more, Parrot Cay has its own dog, Max. Max is on hand to greet and play with new arrivals of his kind! In fact, Max came with us, in our golf cart, to the wedding.
Parrot Cay Private Wedding
The ceremony took place on the pristine, secluded beach. Because the tide was so low, sandbanks were even visible in the background. It was a gorgeous ceremony, very private and romantic under a pretty arch with the soft white material blowing in the Turks and Caicos ocean breeze. Just the couple and their dog and the blue water in front of them. No beach chairs, no buoys, no boats, nobody else in sight.
Both bride and groom had two outfits for the occasion. A formal one for the ceremony and a more informal beachy look for the photos afterwards.
The shore in the distance belongs to the next island, North Caicos. It’s a great island to visit if you have time to do some exploring. You’d need to hire a car and take a drive over the causeway to neighboring Middle Caicos. There you will find more secluded beaches, caves and old plantations. A visit to Mudjin Harbor is a must.
