We were delighted that Devon and Craig chose Brilliant studios a second time for one of our award winning Turks and Caicos Trash the Dress photo shoots. Just two days after photographing their stunning destination wedding, we met the newlyweds again for their very special post-wedding shoot.
The Location
For Trash the Dress photo shoots, we need very clear waters and lots of sunlight to make sure we capture the perfect shots. So on the morning of Devon and Craig’s shoot, we drove around the island until we found the perfect location with the best water conditions. And our chosen spot was the secluded Turtle Tail. We’re sure you’ll agree that Devon’s incredible bridal gown and veil were ideal for our signature underwater photography.
Do we really Trash the Dress?
Our Turks and Caicos Trash the Dress photo shoots have become very popular in the past few years. And understandably so. This type of shoot is the perfect way for us to create our unique, one-of-a-kind images for you. As experts in our field, we have been doing Trash the Dress photo shoots for more than twelve years. So you can be sure that our Brilliant photographers will make your photo shoot a wonderfully memorable experience. And, of course, you’ll also receive some stunning, unique photographic memories to cherish forever into the bargain!
But do we really ‘Trash’ the Dress? Of course not! We are even considering changing the name to ‘Salt the Dress’ to soothe the nerves of the many anxious mothers of the bride who are worried the bridal gown will be ruined at the end of the shoot.
So what happens on a Trash the Dress Shoot?
We always begin by taking some photos outside of the water to make the most of the beautiful surroundings. Next, we move on to our famous half above and half underwater photos, otherwise known as split shots. And finally, we have the couple swimming underwater. It’s always funny to see the couple’s expressions while doing the underwater photos – we have a lot of fun on our Trash the Dress shoots! Then, we normally end the session with the couple floating on the surface. To capture these amazing shots, we use one of our professional photography drones.
We’re sure you’ll agree that Devon and Craig’s photos are absolutely gorgeous. If you’d like to book one of our award winning Turks and Caicos Trash the Dress photo shoots for your own wedding, please do get in touch. We can’t wait to hear from you!
