Here at Brilliant Studios we love to do all types of photoshoots but one of our favorites is our famous Turks and Caicos Trash the Dress.
Karin and Tyler got married at The Shore Club just a couple of days before our shoot. I met with them around 10am, at the Shore Club and took them on a short drive to Leeward beach.
We kicked off with some ground level photos of Karin and Tyler walking hand in hand along the beach and standing on the rocks. We then took to the sky for some aerial shots using our professional drone. This part of the beach is stunning for this type of photography.
What next?
For the second part we decided to go to the center of Grace Bay beach next to the old dock. Summer days are perfect for doing trash the dress photo shoots here in the Turks and Caicos as the waters are usually very calm and clear.
Once we were in the water we started doing some split photography. This technique is to get half of the image above water and half of the image below water. For this we use a big glass dome port with our underwater housing.
Conditions were perfect on this morning. We were able to capture some stunning underwater images with the bride and groom.
And now for the fun part…
Karin and Tyler had a go at swimming fully under the water 🙂 and they both did really well. If you think it looks easy, have a go! It’s not as easy as it looks, especially wearing a big wedding dress. It took them a few tries but we managed to capture some images of them fully submerged and looking great!
Congratulations, Karin and Tyler and thank you for choosing Brilliant Studios.
