Caribbean Wedding at Bay Bistro

Lindsey and Ryan’s Caribbean wedding at Bay Bistro was simply one of those weddings that turned out perfectly. We had not only a super cool couple but also the gorgeous light and the perfect weather. It was smiles all round on this beautiful Turks and Caicos day.

Into the Boudoir…

We started off the day with a boudoir shoot with the stunning Bride-to-be, Lindsey. What a great time and place to do it and it definitely takes some courage to pull one.

Getting ready…

Like many couples do, Lindsey and Ryan got ready in separate locations before the ceremony. Lindsey got ready at a luxurious villa on Nelson Hill – the perfect villa to help us get the images Lindsay was looking for.

Lindsey had some specific ideas for images she liked and with different areas around the property we were able to get just that. We took advantage of the stunning barn doors in the villa and the natural look of the palm trees around the pool.  Whilst the Groom-to-be was getting ready with the Groomsmen at The Sands on Grace Bay, we did a first look with Lindsey and her dad at the villa.

Caribbean style, pre-wedding rum punch…

This wedding party knew just how to do it right. These guys were celebrating before the ceremony had even started with rum punches on the beach. We love it!

A Caribbean Wedding at Bay Bistro

The ceremony took place on Grace Bay Beach in front of Bay Bistro restaurant. The setting was amazing – a beautiful set up with the ocean as the backdrop, gorgeous flowers and a simple but elegant wedding arch. Check out the photos with the stunning Turks and Caicos turquoise ocean in the background – this is what Caribbean weddings are all about.

Ooops!

At the end of the ceremony – and yes we did catch this moment on camera – Ryan somehow managed to drop the ring into the sand! It was only lost for a few moments until, with the help of some groomsmen, it was quickly located. Ryan’s face was a picture as he realized what had just happened!

Lindsey and Ryan wanted to do a ‘sand ceremony’ where they take it in turns to layer the sand to represent the colors of the Turks and Caicos.  Following this, we like to take some group shots with friends and family. Usually, they congratulate the newlyweds by throwing up balloons or petals or confetti but this group celebrated with a shot of tequila! They sure were ready to party – even Grandma and Grandpa were on board!

Into the night…

The celebrations began. Wedding guests watched on with joy in their hearts as Ryan and Lindsey took their first dance as husband and wife. This took place on the beach under a beautiful arrangement of string lights as the sun was setting behind them. A fun touch to this party was the sparklers for the wedding guests to use around the dance floor as they danced the night away until the early hours of the morning.

Congratulations, Ryan and Lindsey, and thank you for letting Brilliant be a part of your special day.
