Our latest Turks and Caicos wedding at Ocean Club East had sadly been postponed many times because of Covid 19. But happily, our bride and groom, Calli and Steven, were finally able to have the destination wedding they had dreamt of. And, of course, the best Turks and Caicos wedding photographers were there to capture it all. We were so happy to be part of Calli and Steven’s special day as they exchanged vows on the beautiful beach at the gorgeous Ocean Club East resort. Surrounded by close family and friends, their wedding was a little more intimate than the couple had originally planned. But it was the perfect, joy-filled, fun day they deserved nonetheless.
Beach connoisseurs
Our bride Calli grew up here in the Turks and Caicos Islands, and Steven, our groom, has Portuguese roots. So the couple are experts on beautiful beaches! It therefore made perfect sense for them to choose the world-renowned Grace Bay beach to get married on. Like us, they know there is no destination wedding like a Turks and Caicos wedding. And we’re sure you’ll agree that their stunning photos epitomize the laid-back tropical romance of a truly blissful Caribbean beach wedding.
Family festivities
After a touching first look with her dad, Tom, Callie was escorted down the beach by her parents to meet her awaiting groom. The train of her exquisite lace gown glided delicately across the sand as she made her way, barefoot, to a conch shell and bougainvillea circle for the ceremony. And Steven’s sister was the officiant, giving this wedding a charmingly intimate, family feel. As the ceremony began, the gentle, soulful sounds of Jervon Laporte‘s saxophone accompanied the bridal party’s entrance. However, the music didn’t seem to be quite to everyone’s taste. The couple’s nephews drew a few laughs as they covered their ears while walking down the aisle!
Celebrate good times
Having watched the couple exchange their heartfelt vows, the family got straight down to celebrating the happy couple. In the meantime, we stole them away to grab some romantic photos of just the two of them. As sunset turned to dusk, the wedding party headed to the sumptuous Opus restaurant to continue the celebrations. Dancing the night away to the sounds of DJ Dayoh, they showed us just how a Turks and Caicos destination wedding should be done!
