The Proposal
Jason and Shantel’s Turks and Caicos engagement celebrations began before they’d even touched down on our beautiful Islands. Jason’s unique and romantic proposal on the plane channelled a movie the couple both love, “The Wedding Singer”. Playing his guitar, Jason asked for Shantel’s hand in marriage by singing the song “I wanna grow old with you” in front of all the other passengers, just like Adam Sandler’s character in the classic movie scene. How romantic! And the engagement celebrations continued as soon as the blissful couple arrived in the Turks and Caicos Islands. We at Brilliant Studios were delighted they chose us to capture their joy.
The Location
Jason and Shantel’s engagement shoot took place in several picturesque locations around the island of Providenciales. These included the breathtaking Blue Hills, where the couple posed on the old dock for some really special photos. And even the birds joined us in celebration! We captured the happy couple among the glorious scenery and colours of this historic part of the island. After that, they headed to world famous beach bar ‘Da Conch Shack’ to unwind with a local beer and a taste of the islands’ traditional cuisine, their legendary conch fritters. We then took to the beach for more gorgeous photos of the couple relaxing with their feet in the crystal turquoise waters amongst the conch shells. Weather-worn pinks, blues and yellows acted as a rich backdrop for Jason and Shantel’s romantic photos in this stunning ocean front location.
Growing old together
The couple’s love for each other was brimming over during this joy-filled photo shoot. We are so happy and proud that we were there to document their celebration of this momentous occasion. This beautiful collection of photos really captures the essence of Jason and Shantel’s devotion to each other. We wish them all the happiness in the world as they “grow old together”.
