When Jenny and Jamal first contacted us to arrange their Turks and Caicos engagement shoot at The Palms resort, they were having trouble deciding what kind of photo shoot they wanted. Should they book a daytime photo shoot and take advantage of the perfect Caribbean light? Or would a sunset photo shoot be better? After all, Turks and Caicos sunsets are legendary, and make for incredible photos…
Well, with the expert advice of the best Turks and Caicos photographers, they ended up choosing to have the best of both worlds! We’re sure you’ll agree it was a ‘Brilliant’ choice to split their shoot into two sessions.
We first met our newly engaged couple at 10am for a morning shoot. Then we met them again for a second photo session one hour before sunset. And we were so happy to be the lucky Turks and Caicos photographers they chose to capture their two-part engagement shoot experience.
Jenny and Jamal: Part 1
This collection of gorgeous photos is from Jenny and Jamal’s daytime session. Please do stay tuned for their equally stunning evening sunset shoot in a future blog. It will definitely be well worth the wait!
Being a meticulous planner, and keen researcher, Jenny had already done a lot of research into engagement shoots before contacting us. Indeed she sent us some images in advance of the shoot to give us an idea of the style she was looking for. We think the modern tropical inspiration for this photo collection is absolutely gorgeous. It’s the perfect way to celebrate an engagement in the Turks and Caicos in true style.
Fresh new experiences
It certainly helped that Jenny and Jamal chose to stay at the luxurious Palms resort. And to use its abundant tropical gardens as their stage for the shoot, of course. We don’t think we’ve ever done a full one hour shoot at The Palms without going to the beach before! But The Palms has so many amazing photo backdrop locations within its grounds, that we really made the most of them! We also knew that there would be ample opportunity to get some perfect beach shots when we met the couple again later in the day.
We used The Palms’ opulent spa area, the lush main walkway, the courtyard and gardens as the settings for these lovely photos. Our creative photographers even found some secret spots that we had never shot in before! And the results are simply beautiful.
We wish Jenny and Jamal many congratulations on their engagement. And we thank them very much for letting our Turks and Caicos photographers help them celebrate their love and joy.
