We have spent three days with Dhruv and Bhumika at their wedding at the Somerset here in the Turks and Caicos Islands. A fully traditional Indian Wedding with three days of ceremonies, dancing, delicious Indian food and drinks, the henna, the negotiations between two families with the beverage ceremony and the Kalvo ceremony. A turmeric ceremony and an all white party. The different colors of fabric for all the outfits at the wedding will blow your mind. Not to mention that Dhruv and Bhumika also both celebrated their 30th. birthday together, they were born on the same day. Hours of make up and hair doing, changing into all the different attires of which most of them were designed by Bhumika’s sister Pinali. The outfits they are wearing on this first blog post are not their wedding outfits yet. Stay tuned for the amazing actual wedding day with more exclusive photos of this wedding. The Somerset Resort looked as if it was taken over by India for a few days and they did an outstanding job taking care of the Patel Family and their 185 guests.
