Grace Bay beach sunrise elopement

This beautiful Grace Bay beach sunrise elopement was perfect in every way for our couple, Kate and Rob. It was perfectly romantic, perfectly intimate and perfectly elegant in its simplicity.

And our bride and groom didn’t just tick all the boxes for a Turks and Caicos sunrise elopement done right.  It also gave our bride an opportunity to honour her parents by emulating their own sunrise wedding. In fact, Kate even bought a hat just like her mum wore at her own wedding to truly follow in her footsteps!

Escaping to paradise

Kate and Rob were originally planning a fairly big destination wedding in the US. However, with all the travel issues and restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, they decided to postpone it. Instead the couple chose to travel to the Turks and Caicos Islands, a place they have loved visiting together. And we’re so glad they did. While it wasn’t their first visit to our beautiful by nature islands, it was definitely the most memorable!

After a few days relaxing at the luxurious Grace Bay Club resort, Kate and Rob decided that this was the perfect time and location to say ‘I do’. And we’re sure you’ll agree that they made the right choice. The white sands, turquoise waters and warm breezes of the Turks and Caicos are definitely the perfect setting for an elopement wedding in paradise.

The start of something beautiful

Having chosen a Grace Bay beach sunrise elopement, all our couple needed to do was enlist the help and expertise of wedding planner, Shameka Simmons. And, of course, to book the best Turks and Caicos wedding photographers to capture their magical day… Indeed, this was such an intimate wedding, that our photographer and the wedding planner herself performed double duty as witnesses for Kate and Rob’s marriage! What a privilege it was to be so involved in the start of this wonderful couple’s married life together!

And marriage isn’t the only new beginning for our happy couple. The beauty of our Turks and Caicos Islands has truly stolen their hearts. In fact they love the island of Providenciales so much that they have decided to buy a property here. And since they can both work remotely from their new ‘home from home’, we hope we’ll be seeing more of Kate and Rob as they continue their journey together.

Barefoot on the beach

Kate and Rob wanted their wedding photos to be very casual and not too posed. And we were only too happy to help them achieve their dream shots. As experts in Turks and Caicos wedding and family photography, beachy, barefoot photo shoots are one of our many specialities.

As we are also experts in “trash the dress” and underwater photography, we were really pleased when Kate and Rob asked for some photos in the ocean at the end of their wedding shoot. We also captured some stunning images of the couple floating in the turquoise waters with our drone. As the ocean was quite rough that morning, we decided to try some of our signature creative underwater photos in the Grace Bay club swimming pool. Since we were there just after sunrise, we were lucky enough to have the pool all to ourselves. There is no denying they are absolutely beautiful photos. What a perfect and unique memento of a truly special and touching Turks and Caicos elopement wedding.

See you on the beach?

We would like to wish Kate and Rob all the best for their future together, and to thank them for choosing us to be their Turks and Caicos wedding photographers.
