A destination wedding in Grand Turk? What more could a bride and groom-to-be want!
On May 2nd, Cody and Kelsey Anderson did exactly this. And not only did they tie the knot in the Turks and Caicos Islands’ historic capital, Grand Turk, they also did it whilst on a cruise ship vacation with around forty of their best friends and family.
Cody and Kelsey had originally planned to visit Grand Turk on a cruise in October 2017. Unfortunately, that cruise had to be postponed due to hurricanes Irma and Maria hitting the islands. Fast forward seven months and Cody and Kelsey were coming here to get married!
Combining their special day with a great vacation with family and friends was such an awesome idea! Most of our Turks and Caicos wedding photography is done in Providenciales so we were really excited to capture this Grand Turk wedding.
The wedding party and their guests got ready on the ship and when it docked, they made their way over to the small island’s main street, Duke Street. Their ceremony took place on the pristine white sandy beach in front of the Osprey Beach Hotel. A beautifully decorated wedding arch and seating for the guests awaited them.
A beautiful day for a wedding…
…and not a single rain cloud or a gust of wind in sight! Before the ceremony, there was time to take a few shots of the wedding party outside the hotel in Duke Street. The bridesmaids looked very pretty in their vibrant pink and the groomsmen very calm and cool in their blue shirts.
I love a beach wedding, especially when it’s relaxed and easygoing. Cody and Kelsey were a fun and happy couple to photograph.
After a sit-down lunch, the speeches, plenty more photos and the cutting of the cake, it was time for the newlyweds to head back to the state-of-the-art cruise ship centre. I’m sure there was a big party on the ship that night!
Congratulations Cody and Kelsey and thank you for choosing Brilliant Studios to photograph your wedding day.
