When I first heard I would be photographing Mariko and Adam’s wedding, I was very excited as this was going to be one of the first destination wedding at the Shore Club Resort for Brilliant Studios. This recently opened stunning resort is located on the beach in Long Bay. Its beautiful architecture makes the perfect background for photographers.
On the actual wedding day, Mariko and her mum and best friend got ready at the Shore Club while Adam got ready in a private villa about five minutes away.
After doing some pre-ceremony shoots around the resort, Mariko and Adam decided to do a ‘first look’ before heading to the wedding ceremony. The Shore Club has so many cool locations for this type of photograph we had a hard time deciding where to do it but we finally decided on the walkway between the resort and the beach.
Mariko and Adam’s wedding ceremony took place on the world famous Grace Bay Beach. The turquoise waters provided a beautiful back drop for photos and whilst the wedding guests moved on to the reception area, I was able to photograph the newly weds before the sun began to set.
The wedding reception and dinner took place under a beach tent provided by the Catering company Kissing Fish.
