First destination wedding at The Dunes Villas by Grace Bay Club resorts

Brilliant Studios was very excited to be photographing the first destination wedding at The Dunes Villas by Grace Bay Club resorts. This new development is located on Grace Bay beach by the Turtle Cove Marina.

Shweta and Rob, who met at medical school, both wanted a small destination wedding and after looking at several different caribbean islands, the Turks and Caicos Islands stood out as being the ideal place for their intimate beach wedding.

Their wedding ceremony took place between The Dunes Villas and the beach inside a purpose built canopy called a mandap. Although a traditional Hindu wedding, there was an added twist… a ’First Look’ which took place in the villa along with a few traditional ceremonies ahead of the main celebration. The main ceremony, which was carried out by Shweta and Rob own priest, incorporated sacred rituals and celebrated the coming together of the bride and groom and their families.

At the end of the ceremony, everyone moved to the beach to do a few family photos. Then Shweta and Rob had a romantic photoshoot as the sun was setting. A great dinner was then enjoyed back at the villas – a perfect end to a fantastic wedding day.
