This delightful wedding at Villa Seaclusion by Grace Bay Resorts was such a joy to photograph. In the week following the airport reopening on July 22nd 2020, we were thrilled to have not one, but two weddings in the books! As you may imagine, our photographers were desperate to get back to what they do best. And Josh and Ashley’s wedding at the lavish Villa Seaclusion on Grace Bay beach was the perfect way to start. Turks and Caicos weddings are unique.
A family affair
In an intimate family celebration, Josh and Ashley’s children were their beautiful bridesmaids and gorgeous groomsmen. And Villa Seaclusion definitely made the ideal venue for the family to be ‘seacluded’ together for the whole wonderful day. Indeed the villa’s luxurious, expansive living space meant that the girls could get glammed up together while the boys suited up in style as the big day began.
Throughout the day, it was evident that Josh and Ashley had carefully considered every detail. With personalised touches such as matching pre-wedding shirts, and the girls’ pretty foot adornments, the day had a truly coordinated feel.
Barefoot and breezy
Josh and Ashley’s beachfront Turks and Caicos wedding had a breezy, laid back vibe. Yet the keen attention to detail continued into the ceremony and beyond. While perfectly complimenting the beautiful blue of the bridesmaids’ gowns, the stunning tropical floral arrangements looked breathtaking. Impressively, one of the bridesmaids was even able to match her cast to her dress!
As she walked down to the beach to meet her handsome, barefoot groom, Ashley’s exquisitely embroidered gown fluttered gently in the warm breeze. Then it was time for the charming ceremony under a gorgeous driftwood arch. With gentle guitar music accompanying them back down the aisle, we were able to capture Josh and Ashley’s joy as they began their married life together in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Fun and festivities
In a nod to the strange times we find ourselves in, we had some fun taking some photos of the family in matching Turks and Caicos masks! In fact, we had fun with many of the photos we took of Josh and Ashley’s family. From pulling funny faces to paddling through the waves in their finery, we were able to capture some really special moments.
Later, we used our drone to create some incredible images of the happy couple walking along Grace Bay beach, as well as of the magnificent Villa Seaclusion from above. What a wonderful way to record some unique and precious memories!
Finally, to round off the day, the family celebrated together with a sumptuous dinner on the terrace. This was followed by a truly tropical wedding cake. The perfect end to a perfect wedding day in paradise!
